I grew up in a small town south of Chicago. I discovered a secret passion for electronic music when I was a child. I remember this radio show, "B96 Street Mix," which would come on after my bedtime. I used to sneak the headphones into bed to hear this show, it was pure audio ecstasy to me. Later, I fell in love with bands such as Front 242, Skinny Puppy, and Nine Inch Nails.
I have a dozen journals, each beautiful and sentimental to me. I have always written poems, or thoughts to meditate upon in them.
All of the lyrics I've written are pages from my own personal life story, taken from the pages of these journals. Each song we write inspires a feeling, which, in turn, sparks a memory. My memories are collected in pages, and I bring these pages into our songs.
Every one of our songs is about a past experience in my life, so to know the music of Nebulous 9 is to know me on a very personal level.
